Brown is entering his eighth season as an assistant coach with the Purple Aces.
In the 2014-15 season, he helped freshman Courtney Coverdale earn a spot in the NCAA Zones at a very early point in the season. Prior to that, Brown guided freshman diver Alex Hart to the honorable mention selection in the Missouri Valley Conference.

Brown is a UE graduate, having earned his B.S. in Athletic Training in May of 2005 before moving on to Southeast Missouri State University to earn his master's in Higher Education Athletic Administration.

Brown has spent the last ten years working in several capacities as a diving coach. Most recently, he worked at Pine Creek and Liberty High School in Colorado Springs, Colo. He spent 2009 through 2011 at Cape Central HS in Cape Girardeau while also coaching diving at Fremont Public Schools (Fremont, Mich.) and Evansville North High School.

His coaching expertise has resulted in five of his student-athletes qualifying for State's while three placed in those meets. He has worked with students in order to motivate and guide them to achieving their goals while gaining patience in working with beginners at teaching them new skills.
