At Evansville:  Kate Batey will enter her fourth and final season as a member of the UE backcourt this winter...An extremely quick guard who supplies UE with good energy and on-the-ball pressure defensively...Offensively, can stretch defenses with her shooting range...Can play either guard position for UE.

2007-2008:  Batey saw action in 17 of UE’s 33 games as a reserve guard...Averaged 1.0 point and 3.7 minutes per game in the UE backcourt...Shot 37.5 percent from the floor (6-for-16)...Dished out three assists and swiped four steals...Scored a career-best seven points in seven minutes of action to spark UE to a 70-55 victory over Ball State (12/8)...Went a perfect 3-for-3 from the floor against Ball State...Also had three points and three assists in a season-best 13 minutes of play on MVC TV in UE’s 94-60 win over Wichita State (2/8)...Hit a three-pointer in eight minutes of action against Northern Iowa in the State Farm MVC Tournament (3/14)...UE was 5-0 in games in which she scored on the season.

2006-2007:  Appeared in 26 games as a reserve guard for the Purple Aces...Averaged 1.4 points and 9.8 minutes per game...Finished sixth on the team with 21 steals...Also grabbed 24 rebounds and dished out 13 assists...Shot 80.0 percent from the free throw line in 10 attempts...Scored a season-high six points against both Austin Peay (11/14) and IUPUI (12/2)...Swiped a career-high four steals at Indiana (11/30)...Her four-steal effort capped a three-game stretch in which she recorded 10 steals against Lipscomb (11/19), Illinois-Chicago (11/25), and Indiana (11/30)...Hauled in a season-best three rebounds at IUPUI (12/2) and vs. Austin Peay (12/21).

2005-2006:  Played in 24 games off of the UE bench as a rookie...Averaged 1.3 points and 7.3 minutes per game...Ranked second on the team in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.08--13 assists to 12 turnovers)...Ranked second among UE’s rookie class with 13 assists...Swiped eight steals defensively...Shot 38.5 percent from three-point range (5-of-13)...Had six points, three rebounds, and two steals on 2-for-2 shooting from three-point range vs. IUPUI (12/4)...Had five points and a season-high five rebounds vs. Illinois-Chicago (12/11)...Notched four points in four minutes vs. Wichita State (2/10)...Finished the year hitting her last six free throw attempts.

At Gallatin:  The 2005 Gallatin News Examiner County Player of the Year at Gallatin High School...Averaged 14.2 points per game as a senior while dishing out 73 assists and swiping 79 steals...A three-year starter and four-year letterwinner for the Green Wave...Named to the all-county team three times...Also a two-time All-District 9 AAA player...A career 80 percent free throw shooter...Played A.A.U. basketball for former University of Tennessee standout Tiffany Woosley on the Tennessee Team Pride...A key player for Team Pride, which finished fifth at the A.A.U. National Championships in 2004...Helped Tennessee Team Pride to three trips to the A.A.U. National Tournament...Also lettered three years in tennis at Gallatin...A three-time all-district tennis player...Also named all-regional in tennis.
