Biography
At Evansville: Kate Batey will enter her fourth and final season as a member of the UE backcourt this winter...An extremely quick guard who supplies UE with good energy and on-the-ball pressure defensively...Offensively, can stretch defenses with her shooting range...Can play either guard position for UE.
2007-2008: Batey saw action in 17 of UE’s 33 games as a reserve guard...Averaged 1.0 point and 3.7 minutes per game in the UE backcourt...Shot 37.5 percent from the floor (6-for-16)...Dished out three assists and swiped four steals...Scored a career-best seven points in seven minutes of action to spark UE to a 70-55 victory over Ball State (12/8)...Went a perfect 3-for-3 from the floor against Ball State...Also had three points and three assists in a season-best 13 minutes of play on MVC TV in UE’s 94-60 win over Wichita State (2/8)...Hit a three-pointer in eight minutes of action against Northern Iowa in the State Farm MVC Tournament (3/14)...UE was 5-0 in games in which she scored on the season.
