Biography

At Evansville:  Rebekah Parker returns this year as one of the Midwest's top playmakers...One of only two players in the nation last year to lead her team in scoring, rebounding, assists, and steals...Will likely become just the second player in school history to rank in UE's career Top 10 in all four categories this year...Ranks sixth all-time at UE in career steals and ninth in career rebounds...A fierce competitor with great court vision and passing skills.

2006-2007:  A first team all-MVC and MVC Scholar-Athlete team pick...The MVC Defensive Player of the Year after ranking second in the MVC in steals...A second team Academic All-District V selection by CoSIDA...Joined Mississippi's Armintie Price as one of only two players in Division I to lead her team in scoring (15.3 ppg), rebounding (5.3 rpg), assists (3.8 apg), and steals (2.0 spg)...Ranked among the MVC's Top 15 in seven different categories...Became the sixth junior in UE history to crack the 1,000-point barrier...Named to the MVC's All-Tournament team after averaging a tournament-best 22.5 ppg...Scored 24 of her career-high 26 points in the second half to power UE past Northern Iowa, 58-57, in the first round of the MVC Tournament (3/9)...Also had 26 points vs. Portland State (12/16) en route to all-Paradise Classic honors...Reached double-figures 24 times, including posting six 20-point-plus games...Recorded her first career double-double with 11 points and 10 boards at Bradley (1/13)...A two-time MVC Player of the Week selection.

2005-2006: An honorable mention all-MVC and MVC Scholar-Athlete pick after averaging 11.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.5 steals per game...UE's co-MVP...Played and started in 28 of UE's 29 games...Scored in double-figures 17 times...Had a season-high 25 points at Butler (12/19)...Also scored 21 points at Bradley (2/4)...Pitched in 20 points and seven boards at Southern Illinois (2/26)...Grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds vs. Northern Iowa (1/7)...Led UE in at least one of the five major statistical categories (points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks) in 27 of the 28 games in which she played.

2004-2005:
  Started all 28 games...An MVC All-Freshman team pick...The first newcomer in UE history to record over 200 points, 100 rebounds, 75 assists, 40 steals, and 10 blocks...Averaged 7.8 points and 4.6 rebounds per game...Ranked 13th in the MVC with 3.0 assists per game...Scored in double-figures 10 times...Had a season-high 17 points and seven rebounds against both  Ball State (12/12) and Creighton (1/2)...Hauled in a season-high 10 boards at Creighton (3/5).

At Tippecanoe Valley:  A 2004 Indiana All-Star guard...Indiana's second-leading scorer in the annual Indiana-Kentucky All-Star series (10.5 ppg)...A Region Roundball Super 25 and Hoosier Basketball Magazine all-state pick...Averaged 18 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game as a senior to lead the Vikings to a 21-3 record...Led Tipp Valley to its first sectional title in 2002...Had two career triple-doubles, including a 25-point, 13-rebound, 12-assist game vs. Whitko as a senior...Also a regional qualifier in the high jump.

Personal:  Rebekah Lynn Parker...Born June 13, 1985...Daughter of Lynn and Dianna Parker...Has four brothers (Lance, Josh, Keith and Jerrod) and four sisters (Alicia, Kalynn, Malinda and Rachel)...Also has 11 nieces and nephews...A standout football player in junior high...Recruited by Valparaiso, Indiana State, Central Michigan and Bowling Green State...Majoring in physical education and health at UE, with hopes of being a college coach one day...Chose UE "because of the passion and intensity Coach Cullop has for the game and all of the great personalities on the team."
