University of Evansville women’s soccer Head Coach Chris Pfau has added to his coaching staff, naming former UE men’s soccer standout Tobias Bak as a volunteer assistant coach.
Bak was an integral member of the Evansville men’s squad from 2022-24, playing in 52 matches with 44 starts across three seasons. Providing a steady presence on Evansville’s back line, Bak helped the Aces reach the MVC Tournament final in 2023 before culminating his playing career with an MVC Tournament title and NCAA Tournament appearance as a graduate student in 2024. The championship was the Aces’ first since 1996. Over the course of his UE career, Bak logged 3,566 minutes and tallied six assists.
Prior to his time at UE, Bak spent one season at Akron, playing in 13 matches with two starts. Bak’s first collegiate season came at Muskegon CC in Muskegon, MI, where he was named a NJCAA Second Team All-American after scoring five goals with three assists.
A native of Taastrup, Denmark, Bak graduated from UE with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice & Social Science.
