OMAHA, Neb.—The University of Evansville volleyball team started off their weekend road trip with a loss to Creighton on Friday at the Civic Auditorium. The Blujays swept the Aces in three sets on their Breast Cancer Awareness Night.
 
The Bluejays hit .268 and committed only 11 errors in the match compared to the Aces’ .062 efficiency with 23 errors. Set scores were 25-17, 25-16, and 25-22. The Bluejays improved 9-7 overall and 6-2 in the Missouri Valley Conference. The Aces fell to 10-11 with the loss with a 4-4 slate in the MVC.
 
Emily Wandersee was the lone Ace in double digits with a match-high 12 kills while hitting .379 in the match. Kerry Sylvester, who has been plagued my injuries, had a good night with eight kills and Brooke Maher posted five kills and 13 digs. Defensively, Julie Sylvester paced the team with 17 kills while Ellen Sawin had 10 and posted 27 assists.
 
The Aces will return to action tomorrow with a 7 p.m. match with Drake in Des Moines, Iowa.
