The University of Evansville volleyball team will travel to Southern Illinois for a Missouri Valley Conference match with the Salukis at Davies Gymnasium in Carbondale, Illinois.
The Salukis are 12-7 overall this season, 3-6 in the Missouri Valley Conference. This will be the second meeting between the two teams this season, and as the season has reached the halfway point. The Aces and Salukis met earlier this season with the Aces taking an exciting 3-2 victory. The Salukis defeated Drake on Friday but fell 3-1 to Creighton on Saturday. Jennifer Berwanger leads the team with 264 kills for the season and Brooklyn Robbins has 722 assists.
The Purple Aces were on the road last weekend, dropping their match to Creighton on Friday, and sweeping Drake on Saturday. UE sits in the No. 5 spot in the MVC rankings, two spots above Southern Illinois. Emily Wandersee is leading the team in kills, averaging 2.43 kills per set, and Ellen Sawin leads the team with
6.36 assists per set.
