CEDAR FALLS, Iowa--Northern Iowa continued its winning ways with a 3-0 victory over the University of Evansville volleyball team Friday night.

The Panthers improved 5-0 in Valley play while the Aces dropped to 2-2. The Panthers picked up three straight set wins 25-18, 25-16, and 25-21.

Brooke Maher paced the Aces with 11 kills and 11 digs in the game. Ginta Gabruseva posted six kills, and Emily Wandersee had five for the Aces. Viera Rajcan led the defense with 14 digs while Julie Sylvester had 13.

The Aces as a team had 27 kills in the game with 64 digs. UNI hit .205 with 43 kills to control the game. Ashten Stelken posted a match-high 12 kills to pace the Panthers.

The Aces (8-9, 2-2) will face Bradley on Saturday at 5 p.m. in Peoria, Ill.
