AUBURN, Ala.—The University of Evansville softball team fell in its second game of the Tiger Invitational Friday evening. The Auburn Tigers defeated the Aces 4-0 at Jane B. Moore Field.

 

The Aces and Tigers were pretty much even through the first three innings, but errors plagued the Aces later in the game. Jacki Bradley took the loss for the Aces, giving up seven hits and two earned runs in the game. Anna Thompson picked up the win for the Tigers, holding the Aces to three hits while striking out eight batters.

 

Brittany Herald led the Aces with a base hit and a stolen base. Bradley and Cassey Kemna also had hits for the Aces.

 

The Aces will resume play in the tournament tomorrow when the face off against McNeese State at the Auburn City Softball Complex at 2 p.m. and then against Gardner-Webb at 8:30 p.m.
