UE Men Place Sixth At Dayton

KETTERING, Ohio -- Four University of Evansville golfers broke 80 again today to give the Purple Aces a sixth place finish out of 17 teams in the men's division of the University of Dayton Invitational at NCR Country Club South.

First round tournament leader Michael Sainz of Evansville finished as the Aces' low man for the tournament with a 36-hole score of 151, good for a 16th place tie. Griffin Wood (75), Andrew Luo (76), Neal Millay (77) and Christian Poling (79) kept UE in the top six today as Evansville finished with a team score of 611. Ball State won the tournament, coming from seven strokes down after the first round to win by five strokes. Justin Lower of Malone University earned medalist honors with rounds of 73 and 69 for even-par 142.

Tuesday's round was the final one of the fall season for the Aces, who return to tournament action in February.
