INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Griffin Wood led the University of Evansville golf team through day one of the Butler Fall Invitational at Fall Creek Golf Course Monday. The final 18 holes are Tuesday.
Wood shot rounds of 72 and 70 for even-par 142, good for seventh place in the field of 85 golfers. UE is eighth out of 13 teams going into Tuesday's final round with a team score of 587. Wisconsin-Green Bay leads at 560, and Loyola's Thomas Greene is the clubhouse leader at 11-under-par 131 after shooting 67 and 64 Monday.
