University of Evansville junior volleyball player Emily Wandersee (St. Louis, Mo/Duchesne) has been named this week’s Vectren Student-Athlete of the Week for being All-Missouri Valley Conference Second Team selection after a strong junior campaign for the volleyball Aces.

This marks the second year in a row for Wandersee to earn the all-conference accolade, as she was the only Ace to make the team last season.

The honor comes after Wandersee led the team with .265 hitting percentage, 92 total blocks and 0.77 blocks per set this season. The outside hitter also posted 10 block assists in the Aces’ comeback win over Illinois State to tie a school match record for an individual while helping the team set a school match record with 34 block assists.

 The St. Louis native currently ranks ninth in UE’s all-time career hitting percentage with .239.
