Former University of Evansville soccer player Ryan Youngblood has been chosen as a member of the 2009 Premier Development League All-Conference Team. A member of the Portland Timbers U-23s, Youngblood was one of 11 players chosen for the Western Conference All-Star Team.

Voted on by team general managers and coaches, the all-conference team includes 44 players in a league that spans 68 teams across the country. Thirty-one of the 68 clubs had players selected for the all-PDL squad.

Portland finished second in the 10-team Northwest Division of the Western Conference with an 11-3-2 record. One of Youngblood's teammates at Portland this season was starting defender Kipp Erskine, who played for the University of Evansville the past three seasons.

A native of Bend, Oregon, Youngblood is the PDL's seventh leading scorer with 11 goals and three assists for 25 points. Youngblood spent most of his time on defense during his collegiate career with the Purple Aces, from 1999 through 2002.
