The University of Evansville volleyball team (4-3) dropped its opening match 3-0 to host Wright State in its Raider Challenge Friday night in Dayton, Ohio.
“It was a disappointing loss,” said Evansville head coach
Mike Swan. “ Our offense had no production from the outside. We were also very predictable offensively. Hopefully we can get back and play our game tomorrow.”

The Raiders started the third set with seven consecutive points, but UE closed the gap within three points late in the outing; however, it wasn’t enough. WSU took the set 25-19 to sweep the Aces.
The Aces will try to bounce back Saturday morning versus Kent State at 11:00 a.m. before matching against St. Peter’s at 4:00 p.m. in Dayton.
