University of Evansville volleyball players Brooke Maher and Emily Wandersee were named to the University of Cincinnati’s Bearcats Invitational All-Tournament team over the weekend.

This is the second all-tournament honor for Maher, as she was named to the team at the Memphis Invitational. The sophomore collected 46 kills and 36 digs throughout the three games. Maher tabbed two double-doubles in the games versus College of Charleston and Youngstown State. Against C of C, the outside hitter posted 17 kills and 17 digs, and versus YSU she tallied a career-high 24 kills and 13 digs.

Wandersee finished the weekend with 38 kills and eight blocks. The junior broke her career high in kills against College of Charleston on Friday with 19 while hitting .447 in the 3-1 win. Wandersee also had a strong showing versus Youngstown State where she tallied 13 kills, four digs, two blocks and a service ace.

With two wins and a loss in Cincinnati, the Purple Aces will carry their 4-2 record to Dayton Ohio, on Friday to participate in the Raiders Challenge where UE will face host team Wright State, Kent State and St. Peter’s.
