University of Evansville junior Michael Sainz was chosen today as Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week after winning the 66-player Butler Fall Invitational on Tuesday and leading the Aces to the team championship in the 11-team event. 

Sainz broke his personal collegiate low of 67 by shooting 66 in both the first and second rounds of the tourney on Monday at Eagle Creek Golf Course in Indianapolis.  He followed with a 69 on Tuesday to finish the tournament at 12-under-par 201, seven strokes ahead of runnerup and teammate Parker Hensley.

Sainz's pair of 66s on Monday included a chip-in and an eagle when he holed out from a bunker.
