INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Chris O'Donnell led the University of Evansville men's golf team in the final round of the Don Benbow Butler Spring Invitational at Highland Country Club.
Final Results
O'Donnell recorded a 1-under 69 to complete the 3-round event with a 218. He tied for 46
th place. His round was the lowest score for a Purple Aces player in the event.
Jamison Ousley and Daniil Romashkin were the top finishers for the Aces tying for 26
th. Ousley recorded a 2-over 72 in Tuesday's final round to complete the 54 holes with a 215. Romashkin finished the day with a 73 to match Ousley's final tally of 215.
Omar Khalid was third for UE and tied for 38
th in the final standings. His 4-over 74 on Tuesday gave him a final score of 217, 7-over. O'Donnell was fourth on the squad while Mason Taylor rounded out the contingent. Taylor carded a 74 in the last round to tally a 228 in the 3-round tournament. Julian Kiessling tied for 87
th place as an individual with a 231.
Butler took the team and individual championships. The Bulldogs final score of 826 bested SIU Edwardsville by eight strokes while Indiana Hills Community College was third with an 839. UE tied Robert Morris for 7
th place with an 865. Leo Zurovac of BU was the medalist with a 3-round score of 201. He defeated teammate Derek Tabor by two strokes.
