Results

The University of Evansville men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams were defeated in today’s dual meet at Western Kentucky. The women fell by a score of 164-111 while the men lost by a score of 163-94.

Colin Gray took the Aces’ solo individual first place finish for the swimmers. Gray finished first in the 200-breaststroke with a time of 2:16.69. Both men’s and women’s relay teams also took the top times in the 200-yard freestyle relay.  

On the boards, Sadie Wells and Andy Balczo each claimed first place scores. Wells swept the diving events with first place scores on the 3-meter (267.3) and the 1-meter (243.6). Balczo took first on the 3-meter boards with a score of 278.17.

For the women, Christina Schmidgall, Alex Howard and Michea Reinitz all turned in second place finishes. Schmidgall took second in the 200-breast with a time of 2:30.64 while Howard swam the 100-breast in 1:07.69. Reinitz posted a season-best time of 2:11.32 in the 200-butterfly.

Four men took second place finishes. Daniel Musselwhite recorded a season-best time of 2:09.57 in the 200-fly while Zach Kanet swam a season-best 2:25.96 in the 200-breast. Kyle Tiemann took second in the 200-backstroke with a time of 2:05.31 while Alex Seward claimed second in the 500-free with a time of 5:06.17.

The Aces will return to action on December 17 at the Christmas Invitational hosted by Delta State.
