RICHMOND, Ky. -- The University of Evansville women's golf team finished 12th today at the EKU Lady Colonel Classic, in the Aces' final tuneup prior to hosting the April 18-20 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Championship at Rolling Hills Country Club.

Maggie Wood moved up three places Sunday by shooting 76 to finish in a tie for 23rd place among 98 golfers with a 54-hole total of 231.  Lauren Ellerman also cracked the top 50, finishing 45th at 241.  As a team, Evansville stayed in 12th place Sunday among the 17 teams with a final total of 971.  Morehead State won the tourney at 905, and Anna Carling of Arkansas State was medalist with rounds of 74, 72 and 76 for 6-over-par 222.
