EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- Mike Luttrull scored his fourth goal of the tournament and Tom Irvin scored his first of the season Sunday afternoon to give the University of Evansville a 2-0 win over East Tennessee State in the championship match of the ProRehab Aces Soccer Classic.   UE is now 3-1 heading into Wednesday's home match with Belmont.  ETSU is 2-2.

It was Evansville's eighth title overall and third straight in the 23-year history of the event.  Bradley defeated Alabama A&M 7-1 in the opening match to capture third place.

Coming off a hat trick in Friday's 9-0 win over A&M, Luttrull started off the scoring at 15:01, set up by Tom Irvin's long throw-in and a perfect flick from Robby Lynch.  The result was an open shot to the left of ETSU goalkeeper Ronnie Hreha.  It was Luttrull's fifth goal in four matches.  The insurance goal came at 59:52 when Irvin took a direct kick from 25 yards out, and wrapped it around the wall and into the top shelf to make it 2-0.

The Buccaneers, coming off a 1-0 win at Clemson last week, outshot Evansville 13-7 and had two great scoring chances in the second half, but defender Jarrett Robbins stepped into the goal mouth and headed away one ball while keeper Phil Boerger leaped high to get a hand on another shot in the final 10 minutes.

Luttrull was chosen as the tournament's offensive MVP, and teammate Robby Lynch earned the defensive MVP award.  Also making the all-tournament team were Tad Kreamalmeyer and Robbins from Evansville; Itode Fubara, Guilherme Reis and Aaron Schoenfeld of ETSU; Bryan Gaul and Ross Williams of Bradley, and Habeeb Alabi and Abraham Kassaye of Alabama A&M.
