University of Evansville volleyball player Emily Wandersee has been chosen as this week's Vectren Student-Athlete of the Week after helping the Purple Aces to a pair of sweeps over Illinois-Chicago and Southern Illinois.

Wandersee, a senior middle blocker from St. Louis, Missouri, racked up a team-high 22 kills in UE's two victories, while posting a .360 attack percentage.  Wandersee also recorded seven blocks in UE's 3-0 victory over Southern Illinois on Saturday night to move her career total to 277 blocks, and move into UE's career top 10 for blocks.

Wandersee and the Purple Aces (13-2 overall, 2-1 MVC) will return to action this weekend, as UE will travel to Northern Iowa and Bradley for a pair of Missouri Valley Conference match-ups on Friday and Saturday evenings.
