University of Evansville swimmer Alex Howard was named the Missouri Valley Conference Swimmer of the Week, as announced by the league office.

The junior notched wins in the 100- and 200-backstroke while taking second place in the 200-individual medley last Wednesday as the Aces went up against Mid-Major powerhouse Miami of Ohio. Howard posted a top time of 59.63 in the 100-back before winning the 200-back with a time of 2:09.23. She finished the night with a second place finish in the 200-IM with a time of 2:10.78, just split seconds away from the first place time of 2:10.34. Howard currently holds the second best times in the Valley in the 100-back and 200-IM while claiming the third best in the 200-back.
