Final Results
CLEVELAND, Miss.- The University of Evansville’s women’s swimming and diving team held first place with a total score of 851 and the men’s team kept second behind Delta State with a score of 508 in day two of the Christmas invitational, hosted by Delta State.
For the women’s team, junior

Michelle Tipton started the meet with a first place finish in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:47.40. Freshman

Melissa Thurman continued with first and second place finishes in the 200-yard individual medley with times of 4:31.26 and 4:32.39, respectively. In the 100-yard butterfly, freshman
Samantha Montgomery and junior
Michea Reinitz notched another first and second place finish with final times of 56.99 and 57.18, respectively.
Tipton took another first place in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:50.78. Senior
Alex Howard and Shotwell finished first and second in the 100-yard backstroke with times of 57.84 and 58.72, respectively. Montgomery, Enge, Tipton, and freshman
Alex Moore finished the meet with a first place win in the 800-yard freestyle relay in 7:48.31.

Kyle Tiemann, and sophomore
Ryan Metzger took second in the 200-yard medley relay with a final time of 1:36.06. Seward placed second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 50.42. In the 200-yard freestyle, senior Jacob Harrington notched a third place finish with a time of 1:43.69. Seward took third place in the 100-yard backstroke with a final time of 53.01. The Aces will compete in the last day of the invitational Sunday with preliminary meets staring at 10:00 am. The final heats begin at 6:00 pm.
