EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Recent graduate Maggie Wood of the University of Evansville women’s golf team has been selected to the National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team for Division I. The criteria for selection are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics, as the minimum cumulative grade-point average is 3.50. A total of 566 women’s collegiate golfers across three Divisions were recognized with this honor.

Wood led the Aces' golf team in stroke average for both her junior and senior years, and finished with the second lowest career average in University of Evansville history at 81.41.  As a senior, Wood averaged 80.75 in 12 rounds in the fall and 80.82 in 11 spring rounds for the best average on the squad at 80.78.

The native of Boonville, Ind. was also a two-time selection to the Missouri Valley Conference Women’s Golf Scholar-Athlete Team. Wood graduated in May with a 3.79 GPA in Writing.
