NORMAL Ill. – Alyssa Key led Evansville with a two-round total of 167 as the Purple Aces sit in 15th place following two rounds of the Redbird Invitational at the Weibring Golf Club.
Evansville is +101 for the tournament, four strokes behind Illinois Wesleyan, who is currently 14th.
Ball State finds itself in the lead at 32 over par entering the final 18 holes. Southern Illinois is second, six shots behind the Cardinals while Toledo is in third place.
Cassie Rushing of Southern Illinois and Piyathida Chaiyapan of Toledo are tied atop the leaderboard as both shot an even par on Saturday.
Eighteen holes remain as the teams will hit the course on Sunday morning. The Aces will have next weekend off before returning to action on the Sept. 26 at the SIU Edwardsville Invitational.
