Day One Results

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – A pair of freshmen led the way as the University of Evansville men’s golf team enters the final round of play in 15^th place at the Dayton Fall Invitational.
 
Alex Turner led the way for UE in the opening round as his 1-over 72 put him in a tie for sixth place.  Four shots behind was fellow frosh Rick VoyVodic, who notched a 76 and is tied for 31^st.
 
Parker Hensley carded an opening-day round of 81 while Quinn Vilneff and Will Knights each recorded an 82.
 
IPFW and Western Kentucky lead the way on the team side as their totals of 295 were tops amongst the 18 teams.  Dayton is in third, just a shot behind.
 
Nick Cunningham of Oakland is the top individual as he led everyone with a 4-under 67 on Monday.
 
The teams will play one more round beginning at 8 a.m. CT at the NCR South Course.
