Final Results
DAYTON, Ohio – Freshman
Alex Turner recorded a top ten finish as the Purple Aces men’s golf team came in 14
th at the Dayton Fall Invitational.
Turner followed up his opening-round total of 72 with a 74 on Tuesday to tie for 9
th place with a 146.
Quinn Vilneff followed him with a 153. That was good for a tie for 41
st as his second-round score of 71 was the top round of the event for the Aces.
Rick Voyvodic tied for 65
th with a 157 and was followed by
Will Knights (159) and
Parker Hensley (161). AJ Naas carded a 172 while playing as an individual.
Evansville came in 14
th place final score of 613. They were just a stroke behind Bowling Green and three shots ahead of Owens CC, who placed 15
th. Oakland dominated the competition, finishing with a ten-shot lead to take the team championship.
Oakland also had the top individual as Nick Cunningham finished with a 140, just ahead of John Muir of Dayton, who tallied a 141.
