TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Evansville volleyball team wrapped up play at the Wildcat Classic with a 3-0 loss against Cal State Northridge. The Matadors won in the fashion of a  25-22, 26-15 and 25-14 sweep.

Sophomore Ashley Ring led the Aces’ offense with 15 kills, hitting .257 on the day. Junior Katie Klages tallied 11 digs in the back row while freshman Kim Deprez totaled 9 digs on defense. The Aces combined for seven blocks as team, with junior Rachel TenHoor notching four block assists while junior Lauren Seyller accounted for Evansville only solo block of the contest.

The loss puts the Aces at 1-2 after the opening weekend. Evansville will return to action next weekend with matches against Alabama A&M, Morehead State and Northern Kentucky at the Morehead State Tournament.
