EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville men’s golf team returns to the golf course next week as they travel to the Cleveland State Invitational, which will begin on Monday morning.
Canterbury Golf Club will play host to the tournament, which gets underway with 36 holes on Monday beginning at 7:30 a.m. CT. On Tuesday, the teams will start at 8:00 a.m. and will play 18 holes on the final day of action.
The Aces began the year two weeks ago at the John Piper Intercollegiate in Bowling Green, Ohio. UE battled its way to a sixth place finish as freshman
Alex Turner led the way. Turner tied for fourth place with a 220, including rounds of 72 and 73 in his first day of collegiate action.
Parker Hensley came home in a tie for 15
th place with a 226 while another freshman,
Rick Voyvodic, tied for 23
rd place.
This will mark the second of five fall tournaments for the Aces as they have a quick turnaround before playing at the John Dallio Memorial next Saturday and Sunday. The event, which is hosted by DePaul University, will be held at Ruffled Feathers Golf Club in Chicago.
