The University of Evansville swimming & diving teams finished second out of eight teams on Saturday, Oct. 26 behind only Purdue in the standings. The Aces swam against Purdue, DePaul, Indianapolis, Rose-Hulman, Valparaiso, Wabash and Butler.

The women's swimming & diving team finished second out of seven teams, while the men's swimming & diving team finished fourth out of seven.

The Aces as a whole swam an outstanding meet. For the Lady Aces swimming the top competitor of the day was
Mackenzie Powell who finished second in the 100 yard breast with a time of 1:07.87, which was 1.38 seconds slower than the top time. The top relay for the Lady Aces was the team of Michaela Kent,
Mackenzie Powell,
Melissa Ball and
Danielle Freeman, who finished second in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:49.26.

As for the Aces men's squad the top competitor of the day was
Ashton Bishop. Bishop finished fourth in the 50 yard free and second in the 100 yard free with times of 21.27 and 46.69. Bishop was also part of the men's top relay team of the day which finished third in the 200 yard free relay. The team was made up of Bishop,
Carder LaBrake, Ethan O'Rourke and
Phil Stevenson.

The women's top diver of the day was
Alex Hart who finished second in the women's 3 meter and fourth in the women's 1 meter.
Mallet Reid was the men's top diver of the day finishing fifth in the 1 meter and fourth in the 3 meter.

UE will swim next against Missouri State at 4:00 p.m. on Nov. 1 in Springfield, Mo.
