Final Results
INDIANAPOLIS – The Purple Aces men's golf team shot the lowest team round of the day and moved up to second place on the final day of the Butler Fall Invitation at Highland Country Club.
Following up his performance from the opening day was
Parker Hensley, who posted a 1-over 71 on his way to a tie for second place. He finished the 36 holes with a 1-under 139 to finish one shot out of first place.
Tying Hensley's final round total was
Quinn Vilneff, who posted a 71 en route to a tie for fifth place. He finished the event with a 143. Also coming home in the top ten was
Alex Turner, who totaled a 144 following his 4-over 74 on Tuesday.
Sophomore
Will Knights also registered a 74 and finished tied for 205h with a 148 while
Rick Voyvodic came in a tie for 27
th with his 151. Freshmen
Brett Wolvert and Jon Pick# finished up their competition as individuals as Wolvert tied for 18
th with a 147 while Pick came home in a tie for 32
nd with a 155.
Bradley took home top team and individual honors as they finished the two rounds with a total of 571 strokes, three better than Evansville. The Aces made a strong rally, shooting the low round of the day (290) on Tuesday, before settling for second place with a 574. Butler came in third place with a 585. Danny Masrin of the Braves followed up his 2-under 68 with an even 70 on Tuesday to take the win. Hensley along with Logan McBride of Butler tied for second, one shot behind.
Next up for the men is a trip to the Dayton Intercollegiate next Monday and Tuesday. NCR Country Club in Dayton will play host to the tournament.
