EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville swimming & diving team will compete this Saturday against Miami of Ohio. The meet will take place at Castle High School in Newburgh, IN at 2:00 p.m. due to technical difficulties with UE's home pool.
The Aces women's team will look to bounce back this week against Miami of Ohio after a close loss last week to Houston. This will be the first meet for the men's squad since they swam in the House of Champions Meet in Indianapolis in November.
Freshman
Danielle Freeman, who was named Missouri Valley Conference swimmer of the week last week, will look to continue her strong season. Last week Freeman finished first in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle. She was also a part of the 200-yard medley relay that finished first.
For the men's squad, junior
Troy Burger is also having a very solid season. He ranks fifth in the 100-yard & 200-yard breaststroke in the Mid-American Conference.
For Miami of Ohio, junior, Joe Baumgartner ranks seventh in the 50-yard freestyle and sixth in the 100-yard freestyle in the MAC, while senior Cynthia Donovan ranks second in the 50-yard freestyle and sixth in the 100-yard freestyle.
The Aces will be celebrating Senior Day, as this is their last home meet of the season. UE has eight seniors graduating this year,

Castle is located at 3344 Indiana 261, Newburgh, IN 47630. The Aces will swim again on Jan. 24 at 5:30 p.m. against St. Louis. That will be dual meet and will be held in St. Louis, Mo.
