Final Results

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Due to torrential rains in the Evansville area this morning, the final round of the Braun Intercollegiate has been cancelled.
 
Results from the opening day are final.
 
Sophomore Kayla Katterhenry led the way for the University of Evansville women's golf team.  Katterhenry toured the home course with a 6-over 78 to finish the event tied for 10th place.  Next up for the Purple Aces were Maggie Camp and Dana Hayden.  Both posted an 82 and finished tied for 28th.  It was a solid day for each as they were in the top third of the rankings.
 
Cathy Doyle posted an 87 in the first round and is tied for 56th while Giulia Mallmann was a shot behind, sitting with an 88.  Individual Kelly Lamarche carded a 94 to wrap up the team.
 
Winning the team event was Indiana State.  The Sycamores topped Northern Kentucky by three strokes.  Andrea Frankiewicz led the Sycamores with a 75 and tied for third place.
 
Northern Kentucky took second place with a 313 while Butler (315), Eastern Kentucky (318) and Loyola (322) rounded out the top five.
 
Sarah Kellam of the Norse was medalist with a 1-over 73.  She finished one stroke ahead of teammate Kennedy Windlan, who had a 74.
 
Evansville came home in seventh place with a 329.  The Aces were five behind sixth-place Lipscomb.
