Opening Day Results

INDIANAPOLIS – Sophomore Kayla Katterhenry is tied for 8^th place at the University of Evansville women's golf team completed the opening round of the Butler Fall Invitational at Highland Country Club on Monday.
 
Katterhenry's top ten effort featured an opening-round 75.  She finished the day five over par.  Behind her was another sophomore – Maggie Camp.  Camp posted a 79 on Monday and is tied for 20^th overall.
 
Giulia Mallmann was third for the Aces.  She stands in a tie for 35^th with an 83.  Next up was Cathy Doyle.  Her total of 86 has her in 45^th.  Dana Hayden completed the squad with a 91.  Kelly Lamarche and Rachel Marchi played as individuals with Lamarche checking in with an 85 while Marchi finished the day with a 98.
 
In their home event, the Butler Bulldogs have a lead of ten strokes heading into Tuesday's final round of 18.  The Bulldogs finished with a round of 293 and have two of the top three individuals.  Jenna Peters (69) and Kelsey McDougall (71) are second and third overall. 
 
Youngstown State is in second place with a 303 while Western Kentucky and Cleveland State are tied for third with a 306.  Cleveland State's Sophie Kelner leads the way on the individual side as her 2-under 68 is one shot ahead of the competition.
 
Evansville stands in 8^th place with a 323.  They are three behind Eastern Illinois and four in back of Bellarmine heading into Tuesday's final round of 18.
