PEORIA, Ill. – Genesis Miranda and Ashley Ring notched 11 kills apiece, but Madison Kamp led all players with 13 as Bradley defeated the University of Evansville volleyball team by a 3-0 final on Saturday evening.

Evansville's (8-17, 4-9 MVC) offensive duo led the way with their 11 tallies while Stephanie Cerino finished the night with five. Cathy Schreiber had another accurate night as she had four kills and hit .429. Grace Carter led everyone with 28 assists while Ring topped the Aces with 13 digs.

Kamp paced the Braves (1-22, 1-12 MVC) with her 13 kills in 28 attempts. Jamie Livaudais was just behind with 12. Lea Sack posted a match-high 17 kills.

All three games extremely competitive with the first setting the tone. That tone was not set in the opening points as the Braves jumped out to a 5-0 lead after forcing three UE errors. Evansville roared right back, posting five of the next six points before tying it up at 7-7 on a Cerino service ace.

Up 9-8, Bradley scored four in arrow to take their largest lead of the frame, but UE fought back once again as a Ring kill knotted it up at 18-18. The momentum continued as a BU error saw the Aces go up 24-23. That is where Kamp took over, tallying two late kills in a 27-25 win.

Another hot start saw Bradley go up 7-1 in the second frame and this time, they had the lead for good. The Aces put forth a late run as they got within one point at 22-21. The Braves held a lead as high as 18-12 before a Meaghan Holmes kill began the rally that saw UE score five out of the next six.

After UE got within one, the Braves regrouped and forced UE into a pair of late errors to take a 25-22 win.

A hotly contested battle ensued in the third set as five early ties led to an 8-8 score. Bradley took the first advantage of more than two points, taking a 12-9 lead on a UE error. At that point, the Aces scored four in a row to retake the lead. Tathianna Cordero got the job done servine while Bradley had three consecutive errors.

Evansville's last lead of the frame was at 19-18, but the Braves had another rally in them to clinch the match. Bradley scored the next three points to go up 21-19. Evansville got back within one at 23-22, but BU scored the final two to win.

Just two more home weekends remain, beginning next weekend as the Aces play host to Drake and UNI at the Carson Center. UE plays the Bulldogs at 7 p.m. on Friday before the Panthers head to Evansville for a 6 p.m. tilt on Saturday.
