SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. – Following the third and final round of play at the Bobby Nichols Intercollege, the University of Evansville men's golf team wrapped up the event in 8
th place at the Sevierville Golf Club.

Pacing the Purple Aces was senior
Quinn Vilneff, who came home in a tie for 17
th on the strength of a 221. He shot a 4-over 76 on Tuesday. In Monday's second round, Vilneff carded the low round of the tournament for UE with a 72.

Alex Turner was three strokes behind with a 224. The sophomore matched Vilneff's third round total of 76 on his way to a tie for 25
th place.Â
Parker Hensley posted a 77 on Tuesday en route to a 227. That score tied him for 37
th place.

Tying for 56
th was
Rick Voyvodic, who tallied a 233 while
Will Knights posted his low round of the tournament, carding a 77 to finish with a 249.Â
Jon Pick, who played as an individual, finished with a 246.

After holding a lead of 20 strokes after day one, the University of Tennessee added to it, taking the team win with a score of 853. That was 25 strokes better than Eastern Kentucky, who posted an 878. The Volunteers had all five of their players finish in the top 19 on their way to the win.

Oliver Goss of UT was medalist, posting a 210 to finish three strokes ahead of teammate Danny Keddie. Wes Gosselin, an individual playing from Chattanooga, took third place with a 215.

Evansville finished in eighth place overall with a 902. Longwood took seventh with an 898 while UE's score was three ahead of 9
th place Detroit.
