University of Evansville men's soccer player Eric Teppen had a historic career with the Aces totaling a program record 302 saves. Nowadays, the UE senior is studying abroad at Harlaxton in Great Britain as part of Evansville's number 1 study abroad program (BestCollegeReviews.org). Teppen arrived at Harlaxton earlier this month and here are some of his first thoughts on this once-in-a-lifetime journey: "The reason I chose to go to Harlaxton was because I wanted to take a great opportunity that I had to be able to see the world before I started working. How many opportunities do people get to study abroad and have 3 day weekends for the whole semester? Being at Harlaxton has been a great experience so far and I am looking forward to being able to travel to several other countries and experience their way of life. I think that Harlaxton is a great opportunity that UE offers and students need to experience it once in their lifetime. Harlaxton being the number 1 study abroad program in the nation only strengthens my reason that everyone needs to experience it. Employers like seeing students who have international experience and this will help more students obtain a job after graduation."
Teppen also had a unique moment last week when he came across the 9 ¾ platform from the Harry Potter series:"I am somewhat of a Harry Potter fan. I was close to the platform so I decided I had to get a picture with it. Being able to travel around Europe for a semester is going to give me great opportunities to make memories that will last a lifetime."
