CONWAY, Ark. – The University of Evansville men's soccer team (2-13, 0-6 Missouri Valley Conference) fell 3-0 at the University of Central Arkansas (2-13-1, 1-4 MVC) on Saturday afternoon.
 
UE nearly went ahead in the 42^nd minute but a shot from junior forward Tyrus Sciarra clanged off the crossbar and went out of play.
 
Just a minute later, UCA built a counterattack and the 43^rd minute goal from Wes Carson gave the Bears a 1-0 advantage at halftime.
 
Central Arkansas extended the lead on another Carson goal in the 51^st minute.
 
Ahead 2-0, Carson completed the hat trick with a 75^th minute score.
 
The defeat eliminates Evansville from a possible berth in the 2015 Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. This is the first UE loss in the all-time series with UCA (previously 6-0-1).
 
The Purple Aces were led offensively by sophomore forward Desmond Dolphy's four shots (one on goal). Sophomore midfielder Ian McGrath and Sciarra also attempted three shots.
 
Evansville returns home to host Northern Kentucky and Senior Night on Tuesday, Nov. 3. The regular season finale will be held at Arad McCutchan Stadium and begin at 7:00 p.m.
