EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Due to the dangerous weather that hit Evansville and the whole Midwest this weekend, the University of Evansville golf teams did not travel to the Frito Lay Intercollegiate in Philadelphia, Miss.
 
The University of Evansville Athletics Department puts the safety of its student-athletes at the forefront of every decision and it was decided that this was the safest move for the program.
 
Set for Monday and Tuesday, the tournament was to mark the spring opener for both teams.
 
Evansville now sets its sights on the Don Benbow Intercollegiate set for March 9 and 10.  Both squads will make the trip to the tournament, which will be held at Jacksonville Beach Golf Club in Jacksonville, Fla.
