BURLINGTON, Iowa – Three University of Evansville women's golfers finished Monday with rounds of 83 as the squad stands in a tie for 7
th place going into the final day of the Missouri Valley Conference Championship at Spirit Hollow Golf Course.
Cathy Doyle was one of the three as her score after two rounds stands at 158. That puts her in a tie for 11
th place on the leaderboard. Kayla Katterhenry and Giulia Mallmaan also finished the day with rounds of 83. Katterhenry sits in a tie for 20
th place with a 160 while Mallmann is one shot behind, tied for 26
th place.
Maggie Camp carded an 85 and has a 163 to stand in a tie for 31
st place. Dana Hayden rounded out the team with a 180. She finished Monday with an 82.
The Purple Aces enter the final day of the event tied for 7
th place with 642 strokes. They are tied with Indiana State in that position. Both are just three strokes out of the top five. Illinois State sits in fifth place with a 639 while Bradley has a 640 to sit in 6
th place.
Wichita State continues to lead the way in both the individual and team charts. The Shockers have a healthy 11-stroke lead over Missouri State. WSU has 612 strokes with the Bears standing at 623.
WSU's Alejandra Arellano still leads the individuals. Her score of 146 is five ahead of the Redbird's Brianna Cooper. Cooper sits at 151. MSU's Chiara Citterio rounds out the top three with 152.
Tomorrow marks the final round of the tournament. The teams will play one more round of 18 holes to determine the conference champion.
