EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The 2015 University of Evansville volleyball season is just over two months away.  Today, head coach Manolo Concepcion announced the schedule for the upcoming season, which includes four non-conference tournaments as well as 12 home matches.
 
A trip to Dayton, Ohio opens up the season on August 28.  Evansville will play in the Wright State Tournament, which features Tennessee Tech, Niagara and the host Raiders.  Following the opener, UE heads to Clarksville, Tenn. on Sept. 1 to face Austin Peay.
 
Last season, DePaul and Central Michigan made the trip to Evansville to play in their home event.  In 2015, UE returns both trips, beginning with a trek to Chicago to play in DePaul's event.  Also in the event are Eastern Illinois and Toledo. 
 
September 8 will see the Purple Aces return a trip to Tennessee.  In 2014, the Volunteers came to Evansville for a mid-week tilt while UE will make the trek to Knoxville this year. 
 
Evansville will finally open up its home slate on Friday, Sept. 11 against Jackson State.  It is the first of three matches in two days as part of the annual tournament.  Western Illinois and Northern Kentucky will also be playing at the Carson Center.
 
Non-conference action wraps up with a trip to Mount Pleasant, Mich. for Central Michigan's tournament where the Aces face the Chippewas, Nebraska-Omaha and San Jose State.
 
Missouri Valley Conference play begins on the road on Sept. 25 when the Aces travel to Drake.  Last season, UE earned a 3-1 victory over the Bulldogs in Des Moines.  The first home match is set for Friday, Oct. 2 against Loyola.  Other notable home matches include Wichita State on Monday, Oct. 5 and UNI on Friday, Oct. 23.  The Shockers were 13-5 in the league last season while the Panthers finished second in the league with a 14-4 mark.
 
Senior Day will be on November 14 versus Illinois State.  Last season, the Redbirds went a perfect 18-0 in the Valley.  The regular season wraps up with a trip to Missouri State and Wichita State on Nov. 20-21 while the MVC Tournament will take place in Springfield, Mo. from November 26 through the 28^th.
