EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville baseball program is very visible this summer as many Purple Aces are playing professional baseball and collegiate league baseball.

PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL:
LHP KYLE FREELAND
Grand Junction (COL, Rk)
Season:  0-0, 0.00 ERA, 0 GP, 0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 K
Notable:  Returning from injury…Yet to make his season debut this year
 
RHP SAM JOHNS
Hagerstown (WAS, A)
Season:  0-2, 4.50 ERA, 2 SV, 23 GP, 36.0 IP, 37 H, 21 R, 18 ER, 10 BB, 19 K
Notable:  Pitched 4.0 innings in the last week, yielding just one run and also striking out two…Opponents batting just .257 against him this season…Appeared in a team-high 23 games this year.
 
OF KEVIN KACZMARSKI
Kingsport (NYM, Rk)
Season:  .311 BA, 1 HR, 11 RBIs, 13 R, 23 H, 5 2Bs, 11 BBs, 4 SB
Notable:  On a nine game hitting streak (July 5 -16)…Has seven RBIs during his hitting streak…Leads the team with 11 walks.
 
RHP KYLE LLOYD

Season:  5-6, 5.07 ERA, 21 GP, 11 GS, 81.2 IP, 87 H, 56 R, 46 ER, 26 BB, 86 K
Notable:  Threw an inning at Stockton (July 13) and vs. Visalia (July 16).
 
C KYLE POLLOCK
Idaho Falls (KCR, Rk)
Season:  .290 BA, 1 HR, 8 RBIs, 5 R, 18 H, 5 2Bs, 1 3B, 8 BBs
Notable:  Nine game hitting streak came to an end (July 12)…Tallied a season-best two RBIs vs. Missoula (July 15).
 
INF ERIC STAMETS
Arkansas (LAA, AA)
Season:  .250 BA, 1 HR, 15 RBIS, 13 R, 45 H, 10 2Bs, 4 SBs
Notable:  Has hit safely in back to back games including a 2-for-4 game with a go-ahead, ninth inning, two-run triple and four total RBIs at Tulsa (July 18).

COLLEGIATE SUMMER LEAGUES:
RHP RYAN BRADY

Notable:  Pitched 2.2 innings in a loss vs. Tro (July 12).

Notable:  Did not appear in a game this past week…leads the team with two wins this season.

Notable:  Recorded two hits in his only game this past week at S Ohio (July 15).
 
INF STEWART NELSON

Notable:  Posted five RBIs and seven walks in the last week…Seven stolen bases leads the team.
 
1B ERIC McKIBBAN

Notable:  Has hit safely in five of his last six games including multi-hit games (July 15, 16).

Notable:  Four multi-hit games and recorded seven walks in the last week (July 11-16).
