EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville baseball program is very visible this summer as many Purple Aces are playing professional baseball and collegiate league baseball.

PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL:
LHP KYLE FREELAND

Season:  0-0, 0.00 ERA, 0 GP, 0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 K
Notable:  Returning from injury…yet to make his season debut this year
 
RHP SAM JOHNS
Hagerstown (WAS, A)
Season:  0-1, 4.97 ERA, 2 SV, 19 GP, 29.0 IP, 31 H, 19 R, 16 ER, 9 BB, 17 K
Notable:  Pitched 3.0 scoreless innings for the save against the Greensboro Grasshoppers (June 30).
 
OF KEVIN KACZMARSKI
Kingsport (NYM, Rk)
Season:  .323 BA, 1 HR, 3 RBIs, 5 R, 10 H, 3 2Bs, 3 BBs, 1 SB
Notable:  Held a six game hitting streak (June 25 – 30) and hit his first professional home run in 1-0 win at Danville (June 30).
 
RHP KYLE LLOYD

Notable:  Pitched 6.0 innings in his last start against Rancho Cucamonga, yielding four runs on 10 hits…ranks second on the team in strikeouts.
 
C KYLE POLLOCK

Season:  .313 BA, 0 HR, 3 RBIs, 1 R, 10 H, 3 2Bs, 1 3B, 4 BBs
Notable:  Has hit safely in back to back games…has hit safely in four straight contests including two, three-hit games at Grand Junction (June 26) and vs. Ogden (July 1).
 
INF ERIC STAMETS

Season:  .256 BA, 1 HR, 11 RBIS, 10 R, 34 H, 7 2Bs, 2 SBs
Notable:  Collected hits in four of his last five games played.
