EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Beginning today, the University of Evansville men's and women's golf teams will be in Jacksonville, Fla. for the next four days, beginning the Benbow Invitational today before the Bulldog Florida Invitational commences on Wednesday.
 
The first tournament begins today at Jacksonville Beach Golf Club while the Bulldog Florida Invitational is set for Wednesday and Thursday at Windsor Parke Golf Club, also in Jacksonville.
 
Evansville is coming off of a strong fall season, capped off by the women take top honors in the Braun Intercollegiate in October.  Kayla Katterhenry led the way in the tournament, winning her third event out of five in fall season.  She also came home victorious in the Redbird Invitational and the Loyola Fall Invitational.
 
Katterhenry posted a stroke average of 74.36 over her 11 rounds of action.  Giulia Mallmann is second on the team with an 81.45 average.  She capped off the fall with a tie for 10^th in the home victory.  Freshman Maria Pickens rounds out the top three for UE.  She has recorded an average of 81.72 through her first 11 collegiate rounds, finishing in the top ten twice.
 
Tyler Gray, Rick Voyvodic and Will Knights led the way for the men in their fall season.  Playing five tournaments, the Aces saw Gray post the low average for the squad.  He averaged 73.93 strokes per round while bringing home a pair of top 14 finishes. 
 
Voyvodic is next on the list.  The senior's average stands at 74.57 strokes and he finished in the top 20 in four out of five fall events.  His top outing was a tie for 12^th at the Donald Ross Intercollegiate.  Knights checks in with a 75.43 average.  He tied for 17^th in the Butler Fall Invitational.
