Round One Results
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – High winds in the area altered the schedule of the Hoosier Invitational as the University of Evansville men's golf team and the competition finished the opening round.
Play in the event was halted at 3:15 p.m. ET due to the wind as the teams were 1-2 holes into their second round of play. Due to the conditions, the teams will complete their second round on Sunday and the tournament will be comprised of 36 holes.
Rick Voyvodic was the leader for the Purple Aces, carding a 73 in the first round to stand in a tie for 12
th place. He was two over par. Tyler Gray finished the round two behind Voyvodic. His score of 75 was good for a 23
rd-place tie.
Wil Pahud notched a 77 in the first round. His efforts have him tied for 35
th. Will Knights was fourth on the team. He posted a 78. Joseph Addante was next as he recorded an 84.
Western Illinois leads the team side as they finished the opening round with a 287. Ohio University is next with a 290 with Indiana sitting third with a 291. Lyle Burns of Bradley leads the individuals. His 4-under 67 has him two ahead of Ohio U.'s Peyton White.
Evansville is one of four teams tied for 8
th place with scores of 302. UE is tied with Eastern Kentucky, Detroit and Youngstown State.
