EVANSVILLE, Ind. - After a midweek win over Lipscomb on Tuesday, the University of Evansville men's soccer team looks to build off that momentum when it hosts Drake in Missouri Valley Conference action at 5 p.m. on Saturday evening at Arad McCutchan Stadium.

On Tuesday evening, the Purple Aces picked up their second win of the season with a 1-0 triumph over Lipscomb in a non-conference match at home. Evansville and Lipscomb spent the first 45 minutes of the match locked in an evenly-played scoreless draw with UE edging the Bisons in shots, 6-5. The Aces found their breakthrough and what would prove to be the game-winner in the 64th minute as freshman Davis Peck passed a ball through the Lipscomb backline that found junior Ben Weber who was able to score past the keeper to help provide the Aces with the 1-0 win.

Evansville and Drake will meet for the 33rd time on Saturday with the Bulldogs holding a slight 16-14-2 advantage over the Aces in series history. The two sides met twice last season with Evansville earning a 1-0 win over Drake in Des Moines and the Bulldogs returning the favor with a 1-0 victory in Evansville. Drake heads into the weekend after an impressive 2018 campaign up to this point, earning three victories over top 25 opponents in non-conference action, holding a 6-3-1 over all record and a 1-0-1 mark in MVC play. Offensively, the Bulldogs are led by Leroy Enzugusi, who has scored a team-high six goals through 10 matches this season. Helping provide for Drake's attack, Cole Poppen leads the MVC in assists with seven in 2018. In goal, Jared Brown has played 921 of a possible 930 minutes for the Bulldogs, recording a 0.88 goals-against average while making 47 saves.

Saturday's match is Boy Scout Night and YMCA Night at Arad McCutchan Stadium. Boy Scouts attending the match in uniform will receive complimentary admission to the match and representatives from the Boy Scouts will be selling popcorn at the match. YMCA members can receive discounted admission ($5 adult, $3 youth - $2 discount).
