EVANSVILLE, Ind. - In the early signing period, the University of Evansville women's soccer team has announced the signing of six student-athletes for the 2019 season.

All six of the incoming student-athletes are seniors in high school and representing five different states with two hailing from Indiana and single student-athletes coming to Evansville from California, New York, Nevada, and Ohio.

"We are looking forward to adding these 6 individuals to our family, and are excited about what they are going to bring to our team both on and off the field," said Aces' women's soccer head coach Krista McKendree. "They are extremely high character individuals who have proven the ability to positively impact their surroundings."

The first signee comes from an area the Aces are familiar with bringing student-athletes in from. A defender, Cassie Bykowicz comes to Evansville from Clarence, New York, a city in upstate New York near the home of current Ace Emily Wolak. Playing club soccer for GPS New York, Cassie earned the honor of competing for the GPS 16U FC Bayern National team, which was comprised of the best players from GPS clubs across the U.S.. For her high school, Bykowicz helped push Clarence High School to three New York Public High Schools Athletics Association Final Fours. Named to the 2017 All-Clarence Bee First Team as a junior after scoring 10 goals and recording a pair of assists.

A native of Escondido, California, forward Monique Landrum is the second signee for Evansville. Landrum competed for San Diego Surf during her club career, scoring five goals in 39 games with the club. Recognized as "Best 11" at the 2014 US Youth Soccer National Championships. Played her prep soccer for San Pasqual High School, helping lead the Golden Eagles to 27 wins in three seasons.

Evansville's next signee comes to the Purple Aces from the state of Nevada. A native of Henderson, Nevada, midfielder Abby Sena joins Evansville after playing club soccer for Heat FC ECNL and Coronado High School. Sena competed with Nevada 01 at the 2016 Olympic Development Program Region IV Championships.

The fourth signee for the Aces is midfielder Isabel Lynch. Hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio, Lynch becomes the second Ace from the Queen City, joining junior defender Emily Rickett. Lynch competed on the club side with Total Futbol Academy Elite, while also playing for her high school, Mercy McAuley High School. Playing three seasons with TFA Elite, Lynch scored eight goals, including six during the 2017 season. For her high school, Lynch was a two-year varsity starter in 2016 and 2017 for the Wolves.

Staying in-state to join Evansville is midfielder Kristen Harvey. Joining the Aces from Fort Wayne, Ind., Harvey played her club soccer for Fort Wayne United, while also competing for Bellmont Senior High School. With Bellmont, Harvey scored 42 goals, adding 22 assists, during her freshman and senior seasons, including a team-high 31 goals in 2018, helping power Bellmont to an 18-1-2 record.

The final signee for Evansville is defender Emilie Hill. A native of Franklin, Ind., Hill competed for FC Pride ECNL during her club soccer career and played for Franklin Community High School. During her first two seasons with Franklin, Hill scored 25 goals on 99 shots, contributing 17 assists, across two years for the Grizzly Cubs.
