EVANSVILLE, Ind. - A busy week has come to a close for the University of Evansville women's volleyball team inside Meeks Family Fieldhouse. The Purple Aces hosted four youth summer camps last week and capped off the week with the three-day Gold Medal Squared Volleyball Clinic that brought some of the best coaches in the nation to UE.

In all, over 300 kindergarten through 12th grade students attended the fourth summer camp sessions with more than 60 coaches participated in the three-day coaches clinic conducted over the weekend. The week began with the All-Skills Camp for kindergarten through sixth grade and College Prep Camps for high schoolers on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday and Thursday, the Aces hosted the Serving, Passing, and Digging Camp and the Setting Camp for sixth through 12th graders.

The week concluded with the three-day Gold Medal Squared Volleyball Coaches Clinic on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. During the coaches' clinic, coaches from across America including California, Missouri, North Carolina, and Wisconsin as well as from other countries including China came to participate in the clinic. Evansville is the first program in the Missouri Valley Conference to host a Gold Medal Squared Volleyball Clinic and the Aces are just one of 10 universities in America who are hosting this clinic this year.

"We are thrilled to have hosted so many people this past week," said Aces Volleyball head coach Manolo Concepcion. It demonstrates the growth of the game in our area, as well as the increased interest and support for our program's vision and principles."
