Aces return to Meeks for MVC battle with Bradley

EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Back at home for the first time in 2019, the University of Evansville women's basketball team hosts Bradley inside Meeks Family Fieldhouse at 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening.

Last Game: Missouri State 88, Evansville 66 (Springfield, Mo., Jan. 6)
  • The Aces dropped a road contest at Missouri State, 88-66, on Sunday, in Missouri Valley Conference action in Springfield, Mo.. 
  • Tying for the team-high, senior Marley Miller recorded her fourth-straight double-figure scoring game with 12 points against the Bears. 
  • The performance marked the fourth-straight time that Miller led the Aces in scoring and her seventh double-digit scoring contest this season. 
  • Moving closer to a milestone, senior Kerri Gasper scored 10 points against the Bears, pushing her within 42 points of reaching 1,000 points in her career. 
  • Freshman Makayla Wallace produced a strong performance against Missouri State, scoring 10 points and recording a career-high five steals and tallying three rebounds and a pair of assists. 
  • For the third time in four games, Evansville finished with an assist-to-turnover ratio of one-or-higher, providing 10 assists and turning the ball over just 10 times against the Bears. 
  • Despite trailing by 27 at the half, the Aces battled back and out-scored the Bears, 41-36, in the second half.

Next Opponent: vs. Bradley

  • Evansville and Bradley are meeting for the 52nd time in series history. 
  • In the last meeting between the two sides, the Braves earned a 77-49 win in the opening round of the 2018 Missouri Valley Conference Tournament in Moline, Ill. on March 8, 2018. 
  • Evansville is looking for its first win in the series with Bradley since a 73-71 win over the Braves on Jan. 29, 2017 in Evansville.
