Last Game: Drake 78, Evansville 47 (Evansville, Ind., Jan. 27)
- Evansville concluded the weekend with a 78-47 loss to Drake on Sunday afternoon.
- Freshman Makayla Wallace continued her strong stretch during conference play, recording her sixth double-figure scoring performance in the last seven games, leading the Aces with 12 points and adding a career-high eight rebounds.
- Making her first start since Jan. 4, redshirt-senior Brooke Bishop scored 10 points.
- Going 4-4 from the free-throw line, senior Kerri Gasper improved her free-throw percentage to 87.5%, the third-best in the MVC.
- After being out-scored 43-21 in the first half, Evansville stormed back in the third quarter, earning a 16-14 advantage over Drake in the period.
- Against the Bulldogs, the Aces shot just 26.3% from the field (15-57) marking the third-straight game Evansville shot less than 30% from the field.
- Drake's Becca Hittner (21 points) and Sara Rhine (20) became the first two players to score 20-or-more points against Evansville since Morehead State's Miranda Crocket and Aliyah Jeune combined for 42 points against the Aces on Dec. 2.
Next Opponent: vs. Indiana State
- Evansville and Indiana State are meeting for the 57th time in series history.
- In the last meeting, the Sycamores captured a 66-57 win over the Aces on Feb. 2, 2018 in Evansville, Ind.
- The Sycamores were the lone conference opponent whom the Aces played within single-digits in both contests a season ago.
- Indiana State has won eight of the last 11 meetings between the two sides.
Tournament Championship Teams Return Home
- As part of Friday's Alumni Game, the Aces' 1998-99 and 2008-09 MVC Tournament Champion teams are returning to be recognized.
- This season marks the 10th anniversary of Evansville's magical run through the 2009 MVC Tournament as a No. 9 seed.
- In 2009, the Aces became the highest seeded team to win the MVC Tournament, a mark that still stands today.
- The 1998-99 team will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its 1999 MVC Tournament championship.
- Evansville's run in 1999 came after entering the tournament with a four-game losing streak and featured wins over No. 5 seed Wichita State, No. 1 seed Missouri State, and No. 7 seed Creighton.
