COLUMBIA, Mo. - In the first full day of events, the University of Evansville women's swimming and diving team held onto seventh-place on the second day at the 2019 Missouri Valley Conference Championships in Columbia, Mo.
Through two days, the Aces remain in seventh place, building its advantage over eighth-place Valparaiso to 117-66. Missouri State leads the championships with a team score of 278.
The second day of action featured the first individual events at the championships. The Aces opened competition with the 500 yard freestyle as junior Ashton Adams and senior Megan Schremp each competed in the C final, tallying 20th and 23rd-place finishes, respectively. Competing in the 200 yard IM, sophomore Andrea Ramis took a 23rd-place finish in the C final with a time of 2:12.26.
Senior Kristen Myers represented the Aces in the A final of the 50 yard freestyle. Myers earned a sixth-place finish with a time of 23:53, improving upon her time of 23.64 in the prelims. In the B final, junior Emma Hennessy swam to an 11th-place finish, while senior Kaylee Gubricky (21st) and freshman Pearl Muensterman (24th) competed in the C final.

Day Two Results
In the 1 meter diving competition, freshman Fae Keighley reached the A final for Evansville. Competing in the A final, Keighley finished in fifth with a score of 250.25. A pair of Aces reached the B final in the 1 meter dive as sophomore Natalie Gerard (220..25) and freshman Maggie Franz (208.80) recorded 10th-place and 12th-place finishes, respectively.
The day came to a close with the 200 yard freestyle relay. Hennessy, Myers, Muensterman, and Gubricky swam to a seventh-place finish for Evansville in a time of 1:36.28.
The MVC Championships continue on Friday with six preliminary events and seven finals with competition beginning at 11:00 a.m. in Columbia, Mo.
